Can't you just grab the source from the UDPcast site?
I wasn't trying to make the standard udpcast floppy/cd work in yellowdog,
I was trying to do a lot more custom stuff. When I did this I created my
ramdisk image from scratch. Some good links to help you if that's what
you're interested in, are the bootdisk howto, and the linux from scratch
folks. Even if you're making a standard udpcast floppy/cd, these links
should be helpful.
Installed Yellowdog, compiled
works fine from there, but what do I need to do next
to start making bootable CD's. I'll be happy to RTFM,
but please point me towards the right manual. Here's
- What's the tar.gz for the boot image generator?
- Syslinux won't make without mingw-gcc, can't find
that tar.gz either, or at least I can't tell which
tar.gz will make install that command.
- No bzimage on my machine. Does this mean I get to
learn my first kernel complile?
- Is all this even doable?
Thanks for the help.
