Using redhat9 on a Pentium 3 machine (I don't have the specific config) I
was able to store files up to at least 5GB, using only
$ udp-receiver -f filename
Also, we restored zipped backups of entire partitions (zipped files,
original size up to 10GB) like this:
# udp-receiver -p "cat" | gzip -dc | dd of=$OUTPUTDEVICE
Maybe you can use a modified version of that line.
As for your problem: what exactly happens? Are you getting any kind of errors?
Hope this helps

Hi everybody,
I have problem with udp-receiver, it is unable to store files
larger than 2GB.
I have read older post and found some work around (udp-receiver > image.gz)
but this did not work either.

i use udpcast 20030831,
partition where i store image i big enough and has reiserfs
i administer small lan, about 15 winxp boxes
